Tour de Sustainability is a cross-Canada cycling and sustainability project that took place for the first time in the summer of 2012. During the journey, Anya and Maria cycled 9,600 kilometers from Vancouver, British Columbia to St. John’s, Newfoundland and spoke to Canadians along the way about the actions they are taking to move towards sustainability. These conversations are captured in this blog and there’s a short documentary film in the works. The aim of the project is to inspire further actions towards sustainability across the country.

The project is done under the umbrella of the recently formed non-profit co-operative Tour de Sustainability, whose mandate is to create a national vision of a sustainable future by raising awareness about sustainability issues and gathering perspectives from across the country.
